Profile

Alison  Hewitt has extensive experience of civil litigation in a number of common law fields and at all levels.

She specialises in coronial law, inquests and related judicial reviews. Alison has acted as "Counsel to the Inquest" in a number of high profile and lengthy inquests and has represented families, doctors, government departments, prisons and employers at very many others.  

Alison also has a busy personal injury practice, acting for both claimants and defendants.  She has particular expertise in relation to catastrophic injuries and head injuries, and in military claims.

In addition, Alison has experience of employment law (particularly discrimination) and public inquiry work.  She attends professional disciplinary hearings and sits as a Legal Assessor for the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
