George Davies

Profile

The majority of George's practice concerns insurance law together with personal injury work for both Claimants and Defendants. A growing part of his insurance practice concerns the defence of fraudulent claims. Previous experience of civil fraud proceedings was gained whilst working as a litigation solicitor in the London office of Baker & McKenzie. As well as practising common law, George Davies has a particular interest in regulatory work as a result of his time working as an Enforcement lawyer at the Financial Services Authority. He has been led in market abuse proceedings before the Financial Services and Markets Tribunal. His experience of international criminal litigation is based upon the workings of the Extradition Act 2003 and he has undertaken cases both for and against various overseas governments
