Melissa Pack is presently on sabbatical from chambers and not accepting any instructions during this time.

Melissa specialises in public international law with an expertise in international criminal law, international humanitarian law and human rights. She returned to private practice in April 2012 after 2 ½ years working for the Aegis Trust as Senior Counsel on their International Justice Programme. Her work for Aegis included the investigation of international criminal cases for prosecution in a range of fora. Between 2002 and 2007 she worked as a member of the Prosecution at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) and the Special Court for Sierra Leone (SCSL). She has conducted numerous trainings within the field of international criminal law and related areas for lawyers, activists and NGOs within a range of contexts, including Iraq, Burma (Myanmar) and North Korea (DPRK).

As a member of the Prosecution at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) (2002-2004; 2006-2007) acted in trial and pre-trial cases as follows:

  • Prosecutor v. Slobodan Milosevic (trial)
  • Prosecutor v. Jovica Stanisic and Franko Simatovic (pre-trial)
  • Prosecutor v. Vojislav Seselj (pre-trial).
  • As a member of the Prosecution at the Special Court for Sierra Leone (2004-2005) acted in:
  • Prosecutor v. Alex Tamba Brima, Ibrahim Bazzy Kamara, Santigie Borbor Kanu.

In England and Wales:
