DeBique v Ministry of Defence

Keith Morton successfully defends the Ministry of Defence at the remedies hearing in this long running claim of indirect sex and race discrimination arising out of child arrangements for single parent soldiers serving in the Army. The claimant had earlier established liability and now sought damages of £1.1 million. After a 3 day hearing the Employment Tribunal made an award of £17,016.
