Lawful killing verdict returned in recent inquiry into the deaths of armed robbers

Alison Hewitt acted as Counsel to the Inquest in the recent inquiry held in Winchester into the deaths of Mark Nunes and Andrew Markland.  The two men were carrying out an armed robbery when they were shot and fatally wounded by Metropolitan Police Officers conducting a covert surveillance operation.  After a 7 week hearing the jury found that the Deceased had been lawfully killed
