Opening of the Mid Staffs NHS Trust Inquiry

The oral hearings of the Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust Inquiry opened on 2 November 2009. The Inquiry will investigate the care provided by Mid Staffordshire Foundation Trust between January 2005 - March 2009. The Inquiry was ordered by the Secretary of State for Health, following a report by the Healthcare Commission which concluded that there were appalling standards of care. Keith Morton, Benjamin Hay and Joanna Hughes are Counsel to the Inquiry.
