National Security
Temple Garden Chambers is at the forefront of National Security
related litigation. Given the novel and sensitive legal issues
arising, Members of Chambers regularly appear in the Court of
Appeal, House of Lords and Supreme Court in such litigation.
With several Members of Chambers on the Attorney General's
Panels of Counsel and others approved as Special Advocates, we have
been instructed in most of the leading cases in this field. This
work includes acting in control order proceedings made under the
Prevention of Terrorism Act 2005 before the Administrative Court,
in national security deportation appeals before the Special
Immigration Appeals Commission and cases concerning the deprivation
of citizenship, terrorist asset freezing and detention in
Guantanamo Bay.
